Our Concrete Actions
Waste Management
- Composting and Waste Sorting: Each campsite is equipped with compost bins for organic waste, helping to reduce waste while creating natural fertilizer. Recycling bins are also provided to encourage the separation of waste (plastic, glass, paper).
- Ongoing Awareness: Educational signs, present throughout our campsites and in our mobile homes, inform our guests about proper waste sorting and reduction practices.
- QR CODE for Verdon Restaurant Menus: We provide QR codes to access the menus of the restaurants at our campsites in the Verdon, available in French and English. With this system, when menus are updated, there is no need to reprint them.
- Interactive Kiosks: At some of our campsites, we have installed kiosks to showcase our staff and partners. This allows us to stop distributing paper flyers, thereby reducing waste.
Energy and Resource Savings
- Smart Lighting: We use motion-sensor LED bulbs in the shared restrooms, ensuring optimized energy consumption
- Lighting Management in Mobile Homes: At some campsites, turning on the lights in the mobile homes requires inserting the key into a lock at the entrance. As soon as the key is removed, all the lights turn off automatically. This system helps prevent lights being left on and achieves significant energy savings.
- Automatic Faucets: The taps in the shared restrooms are equipped with an automatic shut-off system after a few seconds, helping to reduce water waste.
- Electric Vehicles: Our teams use electric carts, reducing greenhouse gas emissions
- Document Sharing via a Drive: To reduce the internal sending of email attachments, we use a shared drive. Employees can access it directly, promoting smoother communication while reducing the digital footprint associated with file exchanges.
Biodiversity Preservation
- Sustainable Green Spaces: Our green areas are maintained without chemical pesticides, promoting biodiversity
- Local and Nectar-Rich Plants: We prioritize local species for our plantings, attracting pollinators and helping to preserve ecosystems.
- Mulching and Ecological Green Space Maintenance: Our numerous green areas, maintained without chemical pesticides, benefit from mulching, a natural method that promotes biodiversity.
Awareness
We believe that awareness is the key to sustainable tourism. Every guest who stays with us is encouraged to adopt eco-friendly habits:
- Reduce water and electricity consumption
- Participate in waste sorting thanks to clear instructions.
- Respect the surrounding fauna and flora.
- Follow our ecological tips shared on our social media and directly on the reception kiosk.
