The Forest of Dodes: the tree climbing Grand-Bornand
Just 1 km from the village centre and in the immediate vicinity of our campsite, La Forêt des Dodes is the iconic Grand-Bornand tree climbing site. Nestled at 250 route de la Patinoire (74450 Le Grand-Bornand), this leisure resort offers 5 aerial courses in an exceptional natural environment, open from April to November.
On the program: more than 80 workshops in the trees, with spectacular zip lines (including one 180 m!), monkey bridges, walkways of Nepal, suspended bike or skate… Children can run safely on green and blue courses, thanks to a continuous lifeline that ensures optimal safety.
Thrill-seekers will not be left out with:
- The Dodes Challenge, a jump into the void 14 meters high to push its limits.
- L’Escalad’Arbre, a 12 m high climbing wall installed directly in a tree, equipped with a quick-jump system.
For groups, night sessions are possible upon reservation, for an even more immersive experience. As a bonus, La Forêt des Dodes also offers an outdoor escape game: go on the trail of a treasure hidden in the Aravis, and solve puzzles by interacting with the inhabitants of the valley.
